Chapter 4
As she walked to Jessicas Megan began to space out looking out to the water as she walked she started to sing that song Legend of Mermaid and as she sang she saw the mermaid again watching her. Megan stopped only to see her dive into the water . " I wonder why she keeps looking at me like that " she thought but she shook it off and went on to Jessicas. When she got to Jessicas her friends were there to greet her , " Hey Meg whats up " Carrie asked smiling " Not much you and I think I have come up with a great name for us " Megan said and walked in the house with her friends.
" Well what is it " Jessi asked her " Well .. I was thinking Mermaids " Megan said I mean we live by the sea and we like mermaid s so I thought it would be a good name " Carrie and Jessica nodded and smiled and they all agreed only putting the at the beginning. " I think thats a great I dea now we need to go shopping for things " Megan said " Yeah thats a good I dea " Carrie said to Megan " Just dont go off into dream land while we are there " Megan nodded and her friends grabbed there stuff and to the mall to get clothing ideas. " You know I was out on a walk late last night and you know ... this may sound crazy but I think.." Megan began " Yeah go on " Jessica said " What was it " " I think I saw a Mermaid " Megan answered
" What ..you saw a mermaid I saw one too " Carrie said to her " Huh really did she have blue tinted hair and blue fins " she asked Carrie shook her head no " No this one had green in her hair and she had green fins ". Megan was suprised " Really " Megan asked her friend " Yeah it was weird it was if I knew her " " I felt the same way when I saw the one last night " Megan said to her best friend. " man I never get a exciting encounter " Jessica said ther her friends. " Dont worry I am sure you will " Carrie told her.

That next morning Megan got up and started getting ready for another day, going downstairs for breakfast she kept thinking about last night. " I know I have seen that mermaid before but where " she thought. As she went into the kitchen she started humming to Legend of Mermaid , " Good morning sweetie " her mom said " your up earily " . Megan smiled " I know, Me and Jessica were going to meet Carrie at her house today and talk about our group. " she said to her mother and smiled , " Okay when are you leaving " Sara asked her duaghter " Well I was thinking after I went to the beach again "
Sara smiled at her daughter and then asked " Why the beach did you see something last night that made you want to go back " she asked. " Well you won't believe me if I told you " Megan said to her mother. " What is it sweetie you can tell me " Sara said " Well .. mom .. do you believe in mermaids " Megan asked " Yes .. I believe in them" Sara answered her daughter. " Well I was out walking on the beach and suddenly I heard this splash , I looked to see a blue fin in the water so I went to check it out " Megan said " Yes go on " her mother said to her.
" Well I went in the water and saw her I mean she was beautiful and what got me was she has the same blueish tint in her hair that I do" she said " Oh really " Sara asked her daughter " Yeah and it was strange It was like I knew her before " Megan said " but anyway I am going to be late meeting the girls I ll see you later this evening " . After finishing breakfast Megan went to go get ready to meet the girls.
Sara watched her daughter leave to go to her room to get her things and leave , " I am going to take a walk as well " her mother thought to herself. She went in her and John's room and sighed " Hunny whats wrong " John asked his wife " John do you think we should tell her . " John looked at his wife " Tell who what " he asked Sara looked at her husband " Do you think we should tell Megan about finding her " she asked. John looked at his wife and knew this was a hard thing to think about.
"I dont know maybe we should wait till she is ready to find out " John said to his wife , Sara nodded and went back down stairs to tell Megan goodbye. " Well I am of " Megan said smiling and seeing her mother's sad face " Whats the matter mom " she asked " Oh its nothing " her mother said to " Oh, okay well I am going to Jessicas okay bye " Megan said went straight out the door to her best friends
